About this experience
Your tour begins with a walk across the High Dam, which was constructed between 1960 and 1970 to separate Lake Nasser from the Nile River. Hear why this powerful embankment dam became a key objective of the Egyptian government in 1952, mainly to control the floods that used to happen every year during late summer, next board a motorboat and enjoy a scenic ride on the river Nile to Lake Nasser and Agilkia Island, which has been shaped to match the size of the magnificent Philae Temple. .Visit this ancient temple of Isis. Stroll through its vast site, occupying about a quarter of the island, and explore its many other treasures, including the first Chapel of Isis, the Chapel of Osiris, and the Temple of Horus.
Your tour ends with a visit to a quarry holding the largest known ancient obelisk—if completed It remains unknown which pharaoh ordered its construction, but it lies unfinished and is a third taller than any complete obelisk to this day.

Itinerary and highlights
One of Nubia's most important monument sites, the Temples of Philae, 12 kilometers south of Aswan, was an ancient pilgrimage center for the cult of Isis and dazzled travelers with its power for centuries. This sacred site was venerated from the Pharaonic era up to the Greek, Roman, and Byzantine periods with each ruler adding their own stamp onto the stones here. Saved from a watery grave by UNESCO's rescue project, which transferred the monuments block by block from Philae Island to Agilika Island, today, the temples continue to work their charm on all who visit.
high Dam built on 1970 A.D, it is located 20km to the south of Aswan, with length of about 3.6km, behind the dam there is the storage lake (Nasser Lake)
