Explore the beautiful sights of Aswan. In the history of the Temple of Philae, temple walls contain scenes from Egyptian mythology of Isis bringing Osiris back to life, giving birth to Horus, and mummifying Osiris after his death. You will have an opportunity to see the unfinished Obelisk and the High Dam. You'll learn about the history of these three unique places from your tour guide on this tour, but you'll also get round-trip transportation to and from your hotel in a private, air-conditioned car. The obelisk was a revered monument for Egyptians, honoring the deceased, representing their kings, and honoring their gods. Work on the Unfinished Obelisk has been halted due to readily evident fissures in the granite.
The Aswan High Dam is a rock-fill dam on Egypt's northern border with Sudan. The Nile River feeds the dam, and the reservoir forms Lake Nasser.
The river still runs beside the Nubian communities of Aswan. They are treasure troves of some of Egypt's most ancient ruins. Residents of the villages are well-known for their friendliness and hospitality. They have their unique set of rituals and traditions, as well as their language, Nuba.
